Ivanchuck won the leon tourment!
He´s in great shape!
He´s the best!
The last game of the Match it was Ivan best game. It was “una Paliza” to the World Chess Champion
In the gamescore do you mean (14..Qxe2 +=) not (14..Qxe4 +=)?
Chuky is on a roll lately.
Ivanchuk ends Topalov’s domination at Mtel, then ends Anand’s domination at Leon, within a month.
Right so what other event has been dominated by a top player for Ivanchuk to set right? Who is next on the list? Kramnik at Dortmund? When is Dortmund?
Dortmund starts at the end of June- hopefully Ivanchuk will successfully defend his title at Aerosvit, and then go on to win Dortmund to put Kramnik in his place (well I hope his form will last long enough.)
Ivanchuk is the best player in the world right now I think. He has performed 2900+ in his last two events:
At Leon he got 5.5/8 against 2772 average, which is a 2922 performance (albeit in rapid), while at Mtel he got 8/10 against ~2737 and made 2977 performance.
Overall this is a performance of over 2950 in his last 18 games/2 events if you include rapid.Ofcourse Anand is actually king of rapid too.
Now then, Ivanchuk beat Anand at the blitz world championship to win it, beat Anand (who is rapid world champion) in the rapid match at Leon, and so next he should play a classical match against Anand (or whoever is classical world champion at the time)!
anonymous , the right place of Kramnik is number 1 , so if anyone has to be put in his place , it will be Ivanchuk , like some say , form is temporary , class is permanent
what a blunder by Anand
How about a nice tournament among Anand, Kramnik, Ivanchuk, Carlsen, Morozevich, Topalov?
where´s the third game and why did the last game last so little, thats what i like about the topalov tournement in may, long games.
anyway both are great world champions, both deserve to have at least 2850rating points, no doubt about it.
keep it going dudes,
jb.
