I’m thinking the Al Gore will sweep this one. Oh, wait…
🙂
I’d desperately like to think that Right Move will win, but I just can’t see that happening. I think Kirsan will have all of the little banana republics and former Soviet satellite states in his hip pocket. With every federation having one vote, I think Kirsan starts with too overwhelming an advantage.
I tend to agree with you, Marc, but I have little sympathy for Bessel and his running mates. They have led a very poorly managed, and un-professional campaign in my opinion. It is chess I feel sorry for … another term of Kirsan damage in store for it.
🙁
Both teams are corrupted, meaning they have potential.
Go USA!!
Who CARES who wins? I don’t and neither do 99,99% of Americans.
Did any one of them come to US to promote their programs? No.
Did USCF go to Europe, Africa, etc to promote our programs? No.
Nobody really cares in North America, maybe only Beatriz, for personal reasons, of course.
this election has to be the non-issue of the year. a man on the street poll would verify it.
well I am personally wrapped up in the election. I want Kok to win. I dont want another 4 years of Kirsan.
but if Kok does not win, I will favor a break away and a setting up of a World Chess Federation for those who want to join. the new federation will fix up some of the glaring errors in the present fide system.
the US and the USCF must distance itself from Beatrice Marinello. she is trouble, big time trouble.

You mean like in boxing, many federations? How does it work for them? If you do make a new federation, please promote chess like Susan does.
