All games are very complicated and tense. After 3.5 hours, GM Kritz scored the first win of the round.
After 4 hours, there are only 4 games left and every game is down to just seconds. Both GM Kuljasevic and GM Bykhovsky missed winning opportunities and ended up drawing. GM Diamant was pushing hard for a win and blundered.
An incredible occurence took place in the last game of the evening. GM Margvelashvili resigned in a drawn endgame because he thought he was lost.
Go Tech!
Didn’t know that GM-elect Sadorra of the Philippines now plays for UT Dallas. Best of luck, kid! You’re doing very well on your own. Go UTD!
UTD is resourceful to say the least. I thought Tech had them. So it all comes down to the final round tomorrow.
