Bilbao Final Masters 2010

Bilbao for the hosting of the 3rd final of the Grand Slam Chess Masters, which will be played from October 9th to 15th. Playing in this year’s final are the current World Champion Viswanathan Anand, the winner of the Wijk aan Zee, Nanjing and Bazna tournaments and current world number one Magnus Carlsen, the best Spanish player Alexei Shirov, and ranked fifth in the world Vladimir Kramnik. Anand and Carlsen were seeded into the Final Chess Masters, while Shirov and Kramnik both qualified after placing first and second respectively in the preliminaries held in Shanghai from September 3rd to 8th.

During the opening ceremony, the pairings of the event became known. In the first round the chess fans will be able to enjoy the following games:
