This would not have happened without the hard work of countless people from Palm Beach Gardens. Thank you everyone for your tireless efforts. But the biggest credits have to go to Mr. Joel Channing and the Channing Corporation, Don Schultz, Jon and Jeffrey Haskel, the Susan Polgar Foundation, Barbara DeMaro and the U.S. Chess Trust, International Chess Marketing, American Chess Equipment, Excalibur Electronics and the World Chess Hall of Fame, The Gardens Mall, Northern Palm Beaches Chamber of Commerce, Boca Raton Chess Club, Palm Beach County Sports Commission, The Palm Beach Post, Florida Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Palm Beach Gardens Marriott and William T. Dwyer High School, and many more people for making this possible.
Congratulations!!
I can’t understand the different numbers, can you esplain them?? (What do it mean “consecutive games”??:
– 1,131 Consecutive Games Played against 554 opponents(Overall 1,112 wins, 16 draws, 3 losses)”

You really expect a talented and busy woman like Susan to answer stupid questions?
Get real man.
I’m with you mozartszelleme the meaning of the consecutive games record is unclear. Your quesiton is not a stupid one. I assume it means that the 326 games are included in the consecutive total and as games ended either the same player or another one set the boards back up and started new games. So at any one time the most number of game going was 326 (thus the record) but over the 16 hours she played, she played 1131 total games (wow!). This is of course a guess. The use of the word consecutive is confusing because it implies a series of games played in succession. The impressive number given above appears to combine both simultaneous and successive games in the consecutive total. A imprecise description of a very impressive accomplishment
Congratulations!
Great job 🙂
Outstanding, hope more newspapers and T.V. stations report this, like they do other sports. Anyway glad you broke the record!
Aloha & Mahalo, Paco
Congratulations Susan.
I repeated news about your fantastic feat as an announcement in the Judit Polgar website too. (http://juditpolgar.maribelajar.com)
Susan, you’re awesome
Congratulations. I just blogged about you, but didn’t notice the blog link at polgarchess.com until a few minutes later.

I’m not but thanks for the compliment anyway, Amster.
I posted the results and blog link at http://chess.ac and the comments have range from this a cool way to get into shape the 9.1 miles of steps taken; to who were the three people who won their games with Susan? Anyway I hope there more events like this across the country to promote chess and thus bring more players to the chessboards! Mahalo, Paco
I remember approximately 2000+, 1750 and 1950. She basically lost at at the end around 12:30 AM, 2:15 AM and 2:55 AM. I’m 95% sure of this.
