Vietnamese chess players to compete in int’l tournaments in 2010

A meeting about the plan for Vietnamese chess players this year was held at the headquarters of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training on January 21.
The event focused on tournaments and outstanding players who have the ability to win medals, and the general department will set up a plan for special consideration and appoint them to foreign training courses to ensure greater achievements.
In 2010, chess players representing Vietnam will compete in five tournaments including the 16th Asian Games, the U8-18 World Youth Chess Championship, the U8-20 Asian Youth Chess Championships, the U8-18 Southeast Asian Youth Chess Championships and a tournament for chess rankings.
