Open d’Avoine 2013 took place on 20-28th July at the Salle de spectacles de l’espace culturel in Avoine, France.
Romanian GM Vlad-Cristian Jianu finished first on tiebreaks after edging no less than seven other players who all finished with 7/9 points.
French GM Vladimir Lazarev was declared second, while Moldovan IM Serghei Vedmediuc got the third place. Last year winner Maxime Lagarde was in the big group with 6.5 points.
The prize fund of 11,000 EUR was split into main, elo, women and veteran prizes. Top prizes were 1200 €/1000 €/800 €/700 €/600 €/500 € etc.
