Qaem Maqami- Karpov draw in 3rd game

The third game between Iran’s Chess grandmaster Ehsan Qaem Maqami and former World Champion Anatoly Karpov from Russia ends in a draw. The game ended in a draw after 44 moves in Goftegoo Park in the Iranian capital Tehran on Thursday.
Earlier, the Russian grandmaster took Qaem Maqami in 42 moves in the first game on Tuesday while the 26-year-old Iranian athlete checkmated Karpov in 85 moves in their second encounter on Wednesday.
The two chess players are scheduled to compete with each other in 20 games on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution. Qaem Maqami and Karpov will take Friday off and hold their fourth game Saturday.
The 57-year-old Anatoly Yevgenyevich Karpov was the undisputed World Champion from 1975 to 1985, and reclaimed his World Championship title from 1993 to 1999.
