I distributed your newsletter to all the children in my school. You are giving us what the USCF lacks. Thank you!

Aloha Susan,
We enjoyed the June newsletter as well, keep them coming!
I heard from Russ Mollot, yesterday that the Polgar Chess club enlisted in the Chess Express (CXR) rating program http://www.chess-express.com, excellent. Look forwward to seeing the results and ratings of your clubs matches and tournaments. The quick turn around of the new ratings and additional 40 plus stats will be an interesting thing for players to review to see where they stand, etc. Here in Hawaii we have several chess clubs using CXR rating system, along with USCF tournaments CXR players can also get CXR to rate these events. Not bad for the price! We even had some sponsors that had CXR rate all the Hawaii Chess Federation tournamnets for 178 players (six tournaments), a first for Hawaii’s scholastic chess program! And we’re doing again this year!
True a little data entry is required, but that’s normal in program that keeps stats. Within 24 seeing your new unofficial rating is a feature that should impress players, there is a two week delay in it becoming an official CXR rating, just in case of errors that need correction, plus then all the 40 plus stats are updated as well! I know this not directly a comment on your scholastic newsletter, but it could be in the near future!
Mahalo,
Paco
Hi Paco! That is OK. You can speak about any subject you wish. Randy Prothero mentioned to me about CXR when I was there. I am looking forward to try it out.
