Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Why is this a stunning loss???? He lost against Ivanchuck who is a great player.
43. exf5 looks like a huge “??” error. Is this why it was stunning?
I think that the stunning loss refers to the gross error Radjabov made at the end of the game.
Frankly, I am not sure at all whether he made an error all right. I just cannot comprehend his last moves and I think that he erred just at the most final phase of the game. He could have drawn.
Actually 31. Rd5 was a stunning error, if I understand. Radjabov just returned the exchange for nothing.
