Rochester Interscholastic Chess League results

The Interscholastic Chess League went into the holiday break with a single meet of League 2 schools at Spencerport on Dec. 19.
School of the Arts beat Rush-Henrietta, 27-13, with Matan Presberg winning on board one. Elbert Adams led R-H with a board four win.
Greece Arcadia defeated Spencerport, 89-11, led by Josh Hovey winning by checkmate on board one. Justin Hockenberger took board six for the host Rangers.
Pat McConeghy’s board one win helped McQuaid beat All-City, 26-14. Lal Chuywan won on board three for All-City.
SOTA’s Matan Presberg won on board one, but Spencerport won the game, 21-19, led by Matt Tyler’s board three win.
Arcadia edged All-City, 52-48, led by Mke VanAuker’s board two win. Emmanuel Trapage of All-City won on board one. The two teams each won four boards, but Arcadia’s sweep of boards two, three and four helped provide the winning margin.
Rush-Henrietta topped McQuaid, 22.5-17.5, led by Spencer Haynes’ board two win. McQuaid’s Pat McConeghy captured top honors.
All-City beat Spencerport, 72-28, led by Emmanuel Trapage’s win on board one. Ben Abraham led the Rangers with a board two win.
