Special thanks to ASB, our newest 2008 SPICE Cup sponsor.
About ASB:
Since we opened our doors in 1948, American State Bank has been helping people and businesses find financial success. Maybe it’s because we take the time to get to know you and then stay with you, wherever life takes you. Or maybe it’s because we’re from here. As a locally owned and operated bank, we’re invested in helping our community grow, one individual, one business at a time.
From a small, one-room redwood frame building, nicknamed “the log cabin,” we went to work. ASB was the first bank to introduce the drive-up window. The first to give a woman a loan without her husband’s signature. And in keeping with innovation, we were the first to introduce Tillie, an automatic teller machine, to Texas.
In our time, we’ve only had two presidents, Jack Payne and W.R. Collier. It was Payne’s vision to establish a “friendly little family bank.” And even though we now have 35 locations in 18 communities, we’re still true to that vision. And from loans to building a legacy, we’re still passionate about what we do. We’re also glad you’re here.
Thank you ASB!
