Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Naka is a beast!
He played some great endgames.
I was very impressed with that Sicilian English victory.
He calculated he could gobble the pawn on c4 and coast to a win.
Susan whats going on? an american in first and a Russian in last place in chess? HUH, this is really gettin really weird, whats happenin? did you ever see that sitcome wit rerun, malonena and dem?
Calm down guys, it was just a “slow rapid” tournament (90 min for the whole game with 30 second increment for each move). Nakamura is still unproven in classical chess.
Anos said, “Nakamura is still unproven in classical chesss.”
Hello, where TF have you been?
Naka can play all kinds of chess and is a 2700 FIDE rated player.
What else is it that you need for him to prove?
Bet you are not even a 1500 player with your SA comment.
Wow, Anon @ 2:39 is a real tough guy. Pretty impressive to insult others via the web. You must be proud of yourself.
Of course Nakamura is a very strong player who also does well with more traditional time limits. however, Anon @ 12:24 has a point in so far as shorter time limits certainly are better for him as compared to most other players.
So again, please consider how to respond to other people’s remarks before disregarding them and insulting the authors…
I agree too that Nakamura does NOT have to prove his 2700 FIDE rating.
And that the poster who said a ‘2700 rated player is unproven’ does not really understand what he is talking about.
In other words. Clueless.
Did you ask yourself where his 2700 rating comes from? These days FIDE rates almost everything that is more than 1 hour.
This tournament will also be rated, yet it was not played under classical time controls.
It’s a joke.
If he wins in Wijk aan Zee next year, then I will be convinced, but not with such time controls that were played here. 2700 FIDE my ass.
Lionel,
“rerun, malonena and dem”
I don’t think Susan watches “Good Times”.
I prefer Sanford and Son better though… Red Fox is a legend!
He is with “Elizabeth” and Bobby now.
Peace out chess brotha’!
“If he wins in Wijk aan Zee next year, then I will be convinced, but not with such time controls that were played here. 2700 FIDE my ass.”
Either you are Danailov or some deranged Troll. Probably both.
Clean up on aisle three, moderator.
Typical – switch from the topic to the poster when running out of arguments.
Nakamura’s high rating comes from tournaments like this one, with such unorthodox time controls.
“Typical – switch from the topic to the poster when running out of arguments.”
No argument.
Its a proven fact that you are a jackass.
Now, now people, remember win with grace and do not be a j.a. sore losers.
Nakamura won fair and square and gave us some fine and enjoyable games.
The boring classical games end up mostly in draws anyways.
Comprende amigos and amigas?
“Comprende amigos and amigas?”
No se.
Just wait until Wijk aan Zee. Then we’ll talk.
Look, most of the so called “proven” players have never won Corus A, so does Nakamura have to win that to be “proven”?
Not necesarily Corus, it can be any other top tournament played under classical time controls. And it doesn’t even have to be a win, top 3 will be enough.
Point is that he is unproven in classical chess!!! And most here don’t even know what this is 😛
“Point is that he is unproven in classical chess!!! And most here don’t even know what this is :P”
Oh yeah, well here is you:
B=====D O^:
Mouth open with objectionable items entering within…
Next you are going to say the only music is classical music…
