Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
The Russians have no team concept.
Susan i thought Russia had the best guys, what happened?,zzzzz ,well i better not fall asleep i might wake up in a Chicago alley or something, UM sorry its a silly joke but i had to get that one in, for good measure!Susan theses top guys r no fun!, its 20years of this stuff and they fallin apart with one lil idea, where’s the challenge? WOW Amazing!!!
Looks like Azerbaijan played in wrong board order. What is the penalyty for that? A 4-0 loss?
Unless it was Radjabov on board 2 and not Guseinov.
“Looks like Azerbaijan played in wrong board order. What is the penalyty for that? A 4-0 loss?”
Mamedyarov is really no.4 in their team order (behind Gashimov, Radjabov, and Guseinov). This is their strategy and there’s nothing wrong here. They’ve successfully employed this at the European Championships.
Why Peter Svidler is not playing for Russia?
Greece can win anyone. We win Euro-2004(football),we win Euro-2005(basketball),we win Eurovision 2005(Elena Paparizou),we win USA dream-team 2006(basketball),so is easy for us to win Russia(chess)!!!!!!!
Go Greece!!!
“Mamedyarov is really no.4 in their team order (behind Gashimov, Radjabov, and Guseinov).”
Official site says that the board order is
1. Gashimov
2. Radjabov
3. Mamedyarov
and so on.
Where did you read that Mamedyarov is 4?
There are two versions of board order on official site.
