As usual the live games cannot be seen anywhere as far as I know. Perhaps the organisers were surprised (again) by the interest and their servers just cannot cope with the demand.
Have Linares always been this bad or only since Morelia got involved?
Let’s hope they can sort it out by the time this absurd World Championship tournament comes round.

All the crap about popularising chess etc. is worthless if a major tournament like Linares cannot rely the games live. Period.
Susan, I don’t think that relaying with delay makes sense. In fact none of those guys does early mistakes in the oppening, the important moves are coming very later. If really this delay is not a connection problem but a tactic to stop cheating this is very funny way to stop it 🙂 If really they want to do something to solve cheating, they must isolate game saloons from other than players, referees and organisers. And there must be no online relay.
Still all white players are in deep think 😀

Indeed it is ridiculous in 21st century to not be able to provide simple PNG file hosting and some lightweight player needed to view 4 matches !!! This is absurd !!!
Yeah, it is absurd. It’s not like this is rocket science.
I think we have to face it: chess is a sublime game, but it isn’t, and perhaps never will be, a serious sport.
Why don’t we tell the Wash Post or the NY Times that the games in Linares state secrets that must not be revealed under any circumstances. Then we would get live coverage!
hayrikaya, the point is not to get through the opening before the relay kicks in. The point is that during the game the cheating player’s helper watching the relay is always ten minutes behind reality. Consequently the cheater has to wait ten minutes every move before he can get any help.
Not perfect but certainly an obstacle to any cheater receiving help through bluetooth receivers in their hat a la Sharma.

By the way Susan, while waiting for moves, if you have time to send posts, can you tell us about Bobby Fischer? 🙂 I somewhere read that Fischer was your family guest for some years is it true? It might be an amazing experience for you I think, I am curious to hear your ideas about him. If you don’t have time it’s ok 🙂
