The International Open “Queima das Fitas” is taking part from 24th to 27th April, 2014 in Coimbra, one of the oldest cities in Portugal.
The event, organized by Chess Section of the Academic Association of Coimbra, Portuguese Chess Federation, Chess Association of Coimbra District and Hotel D. Luis, is a 7-round Swiss Open with the time control 90 minutes for each player with an addition of 20 seconds per move.
The organizers provide prize fund in the amount of 1650 € plus trophies for the first three players, the first three teams (4 players), medals for Youth, Senior and Women.
