The Saif Powertec 41st Bangladesh National “A” Chess Championship, sponsored by Saif Powertec Limited and organized by Bangladesh Chess Federation was held from November 3-17th, 2015, at the NSC Tower Auditorium of National Sports Council in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy became unbeaten champion in competition of 14 players. Minhaz earned 10½ points out of 13 games to clinch the national highest chess title. It’s 2nd times national chess title for IM Minhaz, earlier he got 1stNational chess title in 2010. Champion Minhaz got Gold medal. GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib and GM Enamul Hossain of Bangladesh Navy earned 10 points each.
According to tournament rules they played play-off match. GM Rakib became runner-up (Silver medal), he won play-off match against GM Enamul by 2-1 points. GM Enamul became 3rd position (Bronze Medal). GM Niaz Murshed of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited became 4th with 9 points. Niaz was also unbeaten this event. GM Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh Navy became 5th with 8½ points. FM Md. Taibur Rahman of Bangladesh Navy became 6th with 7½ points, FM Debaraj Chatterjee of Titas Club became 7th with 6½ points, youngest player of this national FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Titas became 8th with 6 points, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Leonine Chess Club became 9th with 5½ points, IM Abu Sufian Shakil became 10th with of 4½ points, Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury became 11th with 3½ points, FM Mohammad Javed became 12th with 3½ points. FM Kh. Aminul Islam became 13th and CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy became 14th with 3 points each. Total 14 players including 4 GM’s, 2 IM’s and 6 FM’s participate in the event and the event was held in all play all system.
