Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Anish Giri is holding his own, getting lots of confidence and rating points in the process. Winning this tournament is no longer remote. That will be as impressive as Carlsen’s Nanjing win.

You’re an imbecile and should not participate in forums like this.
Hoogeveen must be Dutch for “drawish”.
“That will be as impressive as Carlsen’s Nanjing win.”
Are you kidding me? First of all: This is no category 21 tournament. Second: He’s not won a single game yet! He needs to do much better than this if he wants to perform beyond 3000 points like Magnus did. And even if he does win all his remaining games, I still doubt his performance rating will be as good as Magnus’s.
i hope judit can survive her game against sergei looks gloomy for her im sure giving up rook for knight she has her reasons sure hope she can hold this toa draw

Tiviakov, Sergei ( 1.5) – Polgar, Judit ( 1.5) 1-0
Indeed, there is no comparison between Carlsen and Giri…Btw, I read this comment about Giri in another blog..
>>… He’s young, fearless, precocious and has the biggest smile. Plus he does not have some huge genius tag on him like Magnus does….I’m sure he’s an inspiration to many and hope he continues to do well.
