I just arrived in Los Angeles for an important lecture tomorrow about Innovation with a technology leader, specializing in defense, homeland security, and other government markets throughout the world, spanning more than 80 years, with annual sales near $22 billion.
This Thursday is Innovation Day!
As part of our Engineers Week celebration, on Thursday we are focusing the spotlight on the creative, the curious, the courageous—the innovators. Innovators can come from anywhere. And so, we ask you—whoever you are—to join us at any of these events. Participating in these events will be a great way for you to learn about innovation systems and some of the ideas that are being developed right now. It will also be a great way for us to meet you and learn about some of your new ideas.
11:30 a.m. YesNet Seminar Location: E4/Event Center – Chess Grand Master Susan Polgar will conduct a 15 person Chess Simul. We’ll also be showing the National Geographic DVD of “My Brilliant Brain” featuring Susan Polgar.
1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Book Signing Location: SAS Technical Library/E01/B1125 “Breaking Through” by Susan Polgar.
I just may have to go to this event.
Congratulations Susan!
You bring much credit to chess!
Keep up your good job and forget about the USCF and Bill Goichberg. You do so much more for chess than he ever will.
What about the conflict between Innovation versus Tradition?
I wasn’t able to attend but my friend Master Hanks did and informed me about your simul/speach and purchased some of your books. Our chess pal Pena gave you the longest battle but he too lost to the World Champ in the end as the rest did. He told me a great show was put on by you and the company accomodations were superb. Now I am sad I overslept and missed this event.
