Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Welcome to California. Hope you enjoy your visit.
Well, shoot. There’s no way I can make it to HB on a Friday night for the simul, given traffic. 🙁
You’ll simply have to come to West LA next time. 🙂
Enjoy your stay!
Thanks to Joe Hanley and Dewain Barber for putting on the event, to Susan Polgar for her participation, and congrats to Barry Lazarus on his well-earned draw!
I hadn’t heard about the Friday event until it was too late, but I was able to battle the Southern California highway traffic and stop by on Saturday just after the chess camp ended and before the scholastic tournament was to begin.
Susan graciously spoke with me and signed my copy of her fine book Chess Tactics for Champions.
Thanks Susan for what you do for chess and for how kind you are to your chess fans.
