Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
2100 player in a national championship?
Yes, that’s right anonymous, we still have few GMs and our national championship is still not that strong, but each year we are sending more players to bigger international competitions, the number of new clubs and fans are growing throughout the country and Brazil shows it is willing to change this reality. Chess is not as popular as football and volleyball in my country, but I’m happy it’s getting more adepts.
Thank you Susan, for the information on your blog. I surely wasn’t the only one to be proud of seeing this beautiful flag stamped here.
All the best to you from your admirer
Paulo.
