Azerbaijani chess player leading in Moscow Open

The international chess festival Moscow Open is gaining steam in Moscow.
The second round has been played in tournament A, where Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltaj Safarli takes part. After a draw with Russian Nicholai Chadayev, Safarli met Robert Hess from the United States. The fight ended with the victory of the Azerbaijani chess player.
Eltaj Safarli shares the the 1st-3rd places with Russian Alexander Rahmanov and Ukrainian Yuriy Kuzubov with 1.5 points.
On the whole, the main contest involves 12 young chess players. They play in 11 rounds. The contest will end on February 6.
