Toms River Chess Club Hosts Exhibition
TOMS RIVER – Toms River Chess Club will hold a simultaneous chess exhibition at the Ocean County Mall, Center Court, on October 27 from noon to 3 p.m.
Brian Meinders will take on all challengers free of charge. Prizes will be given if players defeat or play to a draw versus Brian. This is presented as a promotional event by the Toms River Chess Club.
The Toms River Chess Club meets at the Toms River Town Hall (Municipal Building) at 33 Washington St. on Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. Learning to play chess is known to increase students’ reasoning, ability to concentrate and to solve problems, and thus to receive better grades in school.

Where’s toms river?
I am looking for someone in Toms River NJ to teach my grandson how to play chess. I would like to give him a series of lessons over the winter as a birthday gift. He is 8 years old.
