Well, I’ll explain from my benefit. When I am playing chess I will definitely try to trick you. Now, I have not played a single classical times control game. But in online games I find I can only concentrate on a single aspect of the game, tacticts, pawn placements, piece placements, or such. I gather I would gain from being able to think of all.
Anyway, my game is as in the caption: As white I play the vienna or the king’s gambit to threaten you at every stage but ready for a winning endgame; the closed sicilian or grand prix attack with the same intention; in others classical continuations with the same intent.
With black I play the french and the dutch to tempt you to commit yourself, and with experience of the white openings I trust I can defend myself (well, of these, the french defence came first, thus the anomaly, though I am thankful of knowing it well and to e4 I don’t know a similar defence as all the rest), so I will counterattack. If you do nothing, I will regroup unnoticed and attack.
The paradox is, perhaps it is because of a lack of ever really training (I have never stepped inside a chess club; perhaps I should?), I am a near full physicist after all, I don’t really have a power of calculation, I only think in concepts. Or mostly I think of positions. Though I am attracted to complications. Though cherish winning an endgame. And hate the Ruy Lopez winning of a queenside pawn and then working that to a win.
So there, here are thoughts, this surely fits the picture!
