I mentioned before that the legendary Women’s World Champion Xie, Jun has her own blog. Here is her blog. Even though I do not read Chinese, I still log on daily to see some of the fascinating pictures she posted. She has done so much for chess in China and she is a big part for their success. Bravo!

Bravo World Champion Susan Polgar on your excellent Blog and on your fine sportsmanship shown in acknowledging fellow former World Champion Xie Jun. I know you’ve sparred with Xie Jun on (and a bit off) the board, so this post says a lot about your integrity and love of the sport!
I also can’t read Chinese, but you or your readers can sort of read through Xie Jun’s blog by using the “Chinese-simp to English” translation feature at http://world.altavista.com/
You’re probably already aware of on-line translations, but just in case, here are some steps for your readers if interested:
If you just want to translate only one paragraph or so of Chinese from the untranslated web page, just copy and paste the Chinese into the “Translate a Block of Text” box on http://world.altavista.com/ and then select “Chinese-simp to English”.
To translate the whole site, just type Xie Jun’s blog link http://blog.sina.com.cn/m/xiejun into the “Translate a Web Page” box, then select “Chinese-simp to English”. When Xie Jun’s page comes up, the blog categories on the LEFT SIDE (not the right side which is often blank until you choose which area you want from the left side frame) will be translated to English, then you can click on which blog category you want to read and it will appear translated along with the comments. (Note: This worked well for me earlier this morning, but isn’t working at this minute, so I don’t know if I mistyped something, or if there is too much traffic or what)
Caution: the translation isn’t the best, but you can generally discern what Xie Jun and commenters are trying to say. In the most recent post, Xie Jun seemgs to be writing about having to walk to a business center and pay per minute charges to use the Net, etc. In earlier posts she discusses her counseling of students on psychological aspects of playing chess, etc.
Also, I think for the post headers here, the name should be “Xie Jun” and not “Xie, Jun”.

You could use a translator to read what she says. It’s not always a perfect translation, but you should be able to figure out most of it.
