A friend of mine just recently released the Chess and Children book. Below is the description of the book.
Book Description
Children and Chess: A Guide for Educators is the first book to show the connection between accepted educational theories and chess. It features lesson plans teachers can use immediately, and from which they can learn the basics of the game. Since the plans meet academic goals through chess, teachers also learn that chess can be a part of reading, math, science, and social studies. An appendix showing how chess meets the requirements of curriculum standards is another plus.

Thanks for letting us know about this book. Very nice!
Many are probably familiar with the famous game played by Root playing white against GM Esteban Canal,
it was the rather painful game:
“Root-Canal”
(just kidding! lol. I think I learned that joke many years ago from Alexey Root’s husband Doug!)
Sounds like a good book! Glad to know about it.
Thank you Susan
When I saw $5 code you provided I couldn’t resist.
Now that I have all these books I have to set aside some time somehow to start DIGESTING THEM 🙂
