South Carolina Champion Timur Aliyev won the four game match against Chris Mabe, North Carolina’s reigning chess champion. The first two games of the match were played in Charlotte April 5-6, with each player winning a game. The final two games were played in Greenville, South Carolina, April 12-13. Game three was drawn.
