The head of state noted that the holding of international and European chess competitions in Baku as well as in parts of the country is an important step towards Azerbaijan’s transformation into a world chess center. The president expressed confidence that the 42nd World Chess Olympiad will enter into the history of this ancient game as a new successful page, and will serve to build peace and prosperity between countries.
