Magnus is best.
Go Carlsen!
Big surprise!
Not.
Lets hope this finally forces Garry Kasparov to keep his mouth quiet about Magnus Carlsen.
Kasparov might have needed to practice 5 hours a day to become world champion, but not Magnus Carlsen.
Fifteen minutes a day is probably good enough for someone of Magnus’ capability. Only the truly untalented might have had to work to become World Champion. I think that was the case of Alexander Alekhine, who also had to work very hard unlike the raw talent of Capablanca.
Yeah, but the lack of Study is what hindered Capablanca and even Reshevesky. You can have all the potential, but if you have no discipline to harness it, its worthless. And I would consider Bacrot a top player, but not of the caliber of Kramnik, Anand, Topalov, Ivanchuk…therefore, its nothing to be really excited over other than he stopped that losing streak to weaker opponents. When he faces off against Anand and Topalov, that will be the real match up
