I’ve never seen this before, but I like 1.Rg5 and then have the rook take the rook’s pawn pretty much regardless of what Black does. The Queen then infiltrates at h6 and mate follows. It seems shorter than the other solutions; am I missing something?
Qg5, then either to h5 or h6 depending on blacks response
1. Qg5 Rh8
If, e.g., 1. … Bf8 2. Qxh5+ Kg8 3. Qh6 and mates on g7.
2. Qxh5+ Kg8
3. Rxg6+ fxg6
4. Qxg6+ Kf8
5. Qg7+ Ke8
6. Bg6 mate
Qg5 Blk is hopeless, if Rg8 Bxf6+ Rxg6 Qxh5+ wins at least 2 ways… (1 Kg8 Rxg6+ fxg6 Qxg6+ Kf8 Qg7+ Ke8 f7+ Ke7 f8 promotes to Q double+ # or 2 Qxh5+ Rh6 Qxf7+ Kh8 Qg7#
TFK
you already had this puzzle before, and everyone gave
Bxg6+ fxg6
Rxg6 Kxg6
Qg5+ Kf7
Qxh5+ Kg8
Qg6+ Kh8
Qg7++
I dont remember this puzzle previously.
I missed it the first time around. but this is a cool puzzle and worth seeing twice.
