1. Nfg3+ Kg1 2. Ng5 convinces the Black horses that the outcome has been fixed. If 2…N-on-f2-moves 3. Nh3# and if 2…N-on-h2-moves 3.Nf3# Some days it just doesn’t pay to get out of the stable. Lucymarie
I had it as no more than a draw for awhile (1. Nxc7 Kb8 2. Nd6 Kxc7 3. Nxb7 Kxb7) until I realized the pawn is on g2, not b7. (A pawn still on its home square shielding a king is a strong image.) So then, of course, 1. Nfg3+ Kg1 2. Ng5 and the g5-knight will deliver mate next move depending on which knight Black moves: 2. … f2-knight moves 3. Nh3#; 2. … h2-knight moves 3. Nf3#.
1N(f5)g3 2Ng5 Zugzwang 3mate Kt
I happen to remember this one:-)
1. Nfg3+ Kg1
2. Ng5
is zugzwang.
Either Nf3# or Nh3# shall follow next.
1.Ng3+ Kg1
2.Ng5 Nf3
( 2..Nd1/Nd3/Ne4/Nfg4/Nh3 3.Nh3++)
3.Nxf3++

Yes, i already solved this and now it took just 15 seconds to find Ng5, followed by Ng3 and then either Nh3 or Nf3.

1. Nf5 g3+, Kg1 2. Nd4 g5, Nh3 (or wherever) 3. NXh3# OR
2. …, Nf3 3. NXf3#
1.Ng3+ Kg1
2.Ng5
Now depending on which ever knight black moves white can deliver mate by moving his g5 knight to either h3 or f3.
