WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Webster University chess team won their second consecutive President’s Cup, which is known in the chess community as the “Final Four” of college chess.
Undefeated going into the tournament over the weekend, the Gorloks took on and defeated Texas Tech University in the final round. The University of Maryland Baltimore County took second place.

Webster was able to qualify for the President’s Cup by winning the 2013 PanAm InterCollegiate Chess Championships by a full point.
