I wonder who is “threatening” Short, now? What excuse can he use to explain his poor play? I think he needs a break. Oh, he can always accuse all of his opponents of “cheating.” Yes! The world is out to “get” him.
I think Ivanchuk is really on fire. He must be a great contender.
Short consistently loses his games on playchess.com versus other gm’s, he does very well against IM’s though and mostly plays the weaker players to keep his rating high…
Not surprised at all by his losing streak, this is just too strong a tournament for him, he needs to stick with the 3rd tier tournaments.
