My question is…after you’ve read this article…why is there not funding available (from the “Chessworld”) for players in positions like these players?
I don’t know if Negi has changed names, but his first name is badly misspelled. It should be Parimarjan, not Parmerian. He’s the champion, remember? At the very least, make sure you spell his name right.
Anyhow, great result for Negi. He should be back in the 2600 club, and on track to join the 2700 club. Still hoping for a tournament among the “wonder kids” – Caruana, So, Negi, Hou, and Giri. That will feature a lot of fighting chess.
