China tops gold medal tally at 3rd AIG

HANOI, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) — China took eight gold medals at the 3rd Asian Indoor Games on Wednesday, topping the gold medal tally with 26 golds.
The Chinese boxing team embraced three gold medals on Wednesday. Zhang Qin, Dong Cheng and Yang Tingting won gold medals in the women’ s 54kg, 60kg and 69 kg categories respectively.
In the chess games, Chinese player Bu Xiangzhi and Hou Yifan won golds in men’s single rapid chess and women’ s single rapid chess respectively.
On the gold medal tally, China is followed by host Vietnam with21 golds and Kazakhstan with 11 golds.
