I would look at Rd8 first:
1. Rd8 Qe7
Of course, Qxd8 loses to 2Qf7+ followed by 3.Qf8#. Black could also protect with Nd6 but this loses to Nd6: [1. …Nd6 2.Nd6 Bd6 3.Re8+-]. Continuing:
2. Qf7!
I think Rc8 will win, too, but there is no reason to run the risk that the rook might get trapped on the 8th rank- 2.Qf7 is absolutely forcing:
2. …..Qf7 (or Qg8 mates)
3. Re8 Kg7
4. Bf7 Kf7
5. Rc8+-
1. Rd8. Finis rerum. The Queen is pinned in “f7” defence, lest Black think in suicide after … Qxd8, Qxf7 and mates.
If … Kf8, 2. Rxc8.
If … Nd6, 2. Nxd6.
Cleto, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
That’s easy: Rd8. 1-0
That’s easy: (1) Rd8. 1-0.
Rd8!
Rd8
Rook to d8
1.Rd8,Nce6 2.N:d6
Rd8!
1.R-d8
Black Q cannot take the rook, and cannot protect both knights. So
1. … K-f8
2.N-g5 N-d6
3.N-e6+ wins the queen
