European Championship, Plovdiv
by Misha Golubev
There was an incident in Round 6: as many as six Georgian players and one Greek player didn’t appear for their games on time, and were forfeited.
They were not aware of changing the clocks to daylight saving time. It is hard to judge what is the more stupid: to change the time twice a year (in any country!), or the infamous ‘Zero tolerance’ rule in chess.
But both well-intentioned idiocies combined nicely: the guys were just done. (MG)

Great rule. Let’s forfeit all the players.
