PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IN WITH THE ARBITER AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE THE START OF ROUND 1. Otherwise, you will not be paired.
Will Nakamura play?
No. Naka will be playing in the FIDE grand prix at the same time. Plus he doesnt really play in open tournaments.
Alexandra Botez?
It’ll be very helpful to have the list sorted by Rating instead of Alphabetical order.
Yes, a Sort by FIDE rating will be great.
Don’t understand what PLUS means on the List towards the bottom. Except for Tom, all the other players were already on the list before. So what’s the PLUS mystery – does anyone know? Why a separate PLUS section?
What about a player with USCF rating over 2100, but FIDE below 2100? Can he play in such condition?
“Plus” means these will be extra players playing only a few rounds as needed due to conflicts in their class schedules, which unfortunately prevent them for playing the entire tournament. F. Niro, Arbiter
After So & Robson wion 100K and 50K respectively, how can they be motivated to play for a mere 3K prize?
Joji, perhaps they just love to play the game regardless of the prize fund.
