The winners of the girls’ sections receive automatic qualifying spots to the 2009 Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, the most prestigious all-girls national championship in the U.S. All qualifiers will receive free accommodation and meals during the SPNI, which will take place on July 26-31 at Texas Tech University in Lubboc, Texas.
The winner of the SPNI will receive a full tuition and fees scholarship to Texas Tech University, value at around $75,000-$80,000! Second and third place finishers will receive a partial scholarship, value up to $36,000 each.
