Since we launched www.ChessDiscussion.com at around 9:30 AM (Mexico City time) yesterday, a number of new awesome features have been added. Here are some of the excellent new features:
– This board has the capability to allow the users to skip posts made by certain posters, or assign someone to be a ‘friend’. If you would like to avoid reading posts from a particular member, click on the posters username, and add them as a ‘Foe’ and voila! We want this forum to be as enjoyable as possible for you.
– You now have the ability to add pictures, or creating a poll when posting. At the bottom of each post a new topic, or reply page, you will see three tabs, choose the upload attachment tab to upload a picture, poll creation for poll. The profile page is also expanded. You may add your own unique signatures and create your own avatars, etc.
– You can also post your games now in PGN format and have them displayed right in the forum page! You can annotate the games in PGN format, and the annotations will be displayed as well. We even have a section for Chess Improvement. Everyone can share their knowledge and ideas with each other.
We will continue to add many more features to make the forum more enjoyable for all of you! We aim to make this forum suitable for ALL AGES! Please feel free to join us and check out all the cool stuff on www.ChessDiscussion.com. It is a FREE forum for everyone and it takes less than 30 seconds to register.
The first step is to click on Register and the process takes about 30 seconds. You get to pick your own unique “Account Name” (or some call it Handle) and Password. We are making it as simple as possible for everyone! More than 220 people have already registered! Welcome!
I love the new features. Gregory is a genius. I wonder why the USCF didn’t ask him to do their forum?
The genuis is Susan as she understands the web and has a great vision. I marvel at her and Paul’s vision and the execution of their plans. Hiring a good web-developer is not that difficult; it is more difficult to promote and create interest in which they did.
Thank-you for the kind compliment though, but you are much too kind. I built the college chess forum, which has the same features, and no-one came for years. There are many talented programmers out there that could have done the same thing if given the chance.
Gregory
I like the design and features of this forum a lot better than the USCF. I also like the atmosphere here as well. Thanks for providing this service for us chess nuts.
Susan: Are there any explicit regulations as far as language and obscenity for this forum such as there are on your blog?
No profanity, obscenity or rudeness will be allowed, just as here.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
