In the interview, V.Kotronias made no mention of studying his opponent’s opening tendencies during tournaments.
This is odd, since Nick de Firmian told me that is the main thing he studies.
Kotronias’ book “Beating the Petroff” is clearly the best of about 5 Petroff books I looked at in some depth in recent weeks.
However, it is mostly for White. It is also somewhat space inefficient, with of lot of known inferior lines discussed at length.
The Swede’s sure do like their news anchors cute. How will they ever get anybody to watch cute anchors?
