I also agree with Oldtimer — 1.Bg5! pinning the knight. If 1…Qe5 or Qd8 protecting the knight then 2. Bxf6, Bxf6 3. Qg4+ and white picks up a knight.
Incidentally, if 1 Bh6? then 1…e5! and if White plays 2 Bxh6?! Rxf8, Black has central control + 2 pawns = +. Similarly 1 Rxf6 does not net enough material.
1. Rxf6 Bxf6 2. Qg4+ followed by Nh5 and mate.
Nah, I don’t like that line, because Black would probably just play sneaky…
1. Rxf6 Bxf6
2. Qg4+ Kh8
3. Nh5 Be5
now what?
How about this
1. Rxf6 Bxf6
2. Qg4+ picking up the loose knight on b4
Don’t know if I really like it, though. Maybe we have to start with 1.Bh6 keeping all the other options open.
I like 1.Bg5 pinning the knight. If 1…Qe5 or Qd8 protecting the knight then 2. Bxf6!, Bxf6 3. Qg4 ch and white picks up the knight.
What’s wrong with 1. Bh6 and if rook moves 2. Rxf6 Bxf6 3. Qg4?
after
1.bh6 rfc8
2.rxf6 (better is bg5, i suppose!) bxf6
3.qg4+ kh8
4.qxb4 bxc3
5.bc qxc3
6.qxc3 rxc3
black is clearly better now …
best in my opinion is oldtimer’s recommendation
1.bg5 qd8 (what else?)
2.bxf6 bxf6
3.qg4+ kh8
4.qxb4

what do you think about:
1Rxf6 Bxf6
2Nh6?! and now there is Qg4 and N attacks f6
