This was a major blooper today in the 4th round of the US Championship. White is WGM Goletiani. Black is IM Kraai. Black had a winning position here but he failed to convert. The game ended in a draw. Can you find the winning plan?

Hi Susan
I believe that the winning plan is: to give first check in g7, a time is won this way, after Rook g8.
1. …,Rg7
2. Kb6 [2. Nc7 , Kd6 and win the Black ; 2. Ka8 or b8 or c8 2. …,Rg8 3. Kb7 And it arrives to a similar position to the original, alone that now the Black controls a8 besides that it has to play. 3. …, Kc4 and now the Black’s King and Pawn evicts the enemy Nnight exactly on time]
2. …, Kc4 The Rook will go to g8 when it is necessary and it was changed by the Pawn White. The Rook will go to g8 when it is necessary and it was changed by the Pawn White. On the other hand the Black King won’t allow the White’s Nhight incursion in his territory, and finally the solitary Pawn f becomes Queen.
Good day
This is hard.
My Answer: By applying pressure and moving the pawn to be promoted to queen. =)
Kc5,Ke5 and Rg7+ will all win, but not the natural f3.
I believe anything starting with Ra1 wins. After the rook sac for the pawn, the black king muscles out the knight and black promote.
