R:d7, Nf6, Nh7, Qh8 and so on
Rd7, Nf6, Nh7, Qh8 and so on
Bxf7
My choice is Bxf7:
1. Bxf7+ Kxf7
2. Ng5+ Kg8
3. Ne6 Nf8 (to prevent mate on g7)
4. Nxc7 + –
Options for Black:
1. … Kf8
2. Qh8+ Kxf7
3. Ng5+ Ke7
4. Qxh7+ Kf6
5. Qf7#
1. … Kf8
2. Qh8+ Ke7
3. Qg7 and Black has no good prevention to the discovered check.
Hint the answer is not Rd7, Nf6, Nh7, Qh8 and so on.
I do not like to give the answer because it takes away the fun for the next person.
To anyone the answer is not a single move. You must show the follow up if you expect to be taken seriously. For example you obviously need a move after Kxf7.
1. Bxf7 Kxf7
2. ???????
Now if you went N x Queen Mate. That would answer the question. But here there is no obvious way to proceed. So you have not answered the question.
You must push your brain to work at chess. Not just throw out a move and walk away.
jcheyne looks pretty good. he might have it. it is a full answer. this was not up when I wrote above about needing a more complete answer.

This is one of the easy ones I have see on this site. Still vary enjoyable.

2.Ng5+ Kg8
3.Ne6 Nf8
