Claro esta, Carlsen ! Quien mas ? Por fin un jugador que no necesita une novedad teorica tras 25 jugadas para ganar ! Al fin, un poco de sangre nueva en el ajedrez !! Viva Guatemala !
I voted Carlsen although he’s better at getting himself out of trouble than avoiding it in the first place, and I feel that other players have overachieved through hard work this year and deserve recognition for this (McShane, Svidler, and a certain J Polgar!)
cant you see. naka does not even make it to the short-list.. if naka makes it to the list i would say ‘me too’ and mind you – i can come last w/o gary helping me..
Sure Carlsen has probably had the best results in 2011. Of course Gelfand got the best result ever – the chance to challenge for the World Title. Carlsen will poo poo the world champion title, because he knows how hard it will be for him to get there! Anand deservedly and with a wee bit of luck ( who does not need dame luck?) secured the title and has fended off two challenges. As for Naka why bash him? He is an entertaining super talent and entertained one and all with his wins over the WC and Aronian. Kramnik of course still remains an awesome chess player.
Well…when #4 in the world faces #16 in he world for the WCC If that makes any sense to you then…have a nice day.Cause that’s how cheap the FIDE title is today,
chris lewis(who?)once played McEnroe in a wimbledon final.. are you going to deny chris the right, using your logic only the top 2 in the WC..Just to clarify Gelfand is not a pushover – a worthy opponent..Magnus is a tournament champion – as he can mow the lower half.. but we are talking matches here… I do appreciate Magnus’ performance.. Naka is not in the same league – except for a win here or there
No brainer, Nakamura!

This guy who is always rooting for Naka, is just trying (and suceeding) to provoke, after all Naka is just No. 11, he`ll NEVER make in under the top 3
If Naka plays US championship, he would not top even that..he took a lame excuse – preparing for WC..LOL

World title is not cheap. #16 in the world is not cheap either..
Hey Mike – “Well….when #4…..” A surprisingly crass and stupid comment indeed!!
