If you can have the opportunity to ask ANY chess player (from any generation) one question, which player would you want to ask, and what would the question be? Let’s be creative now, no boring question 🙂
I would ask Aljechin if he and Capablanca had agreed on a return match before the 1927 match ended. Come to think of it, I would ask Capablanca the same thing.
I would ask to Susan Polgar: -Why did you choose me as your chessplayer to ask a question? And why did you ask to what chessplayer would I ask a question (and what question)? “Mind-bloggin'”
I’d ask Lenin why he thought that a self-proclaimed vanguard of the proletariat with no accountability would be more trustworthy with power than any other autocrat.
Maestro, just between us and honestly, which of the legends around you are fabricated and which are real? Too lazy to go into details, please allow me to help you a little bit Maestro:
Did you really learnt to play by watching your father play? Isn’t it really exaggerated (on purpose?) that you never studied? When you made the silly mistakes against Dr. Tarrasch (St. Peterburg 1914 http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1272218) and Saemisch (Karlsbad 1929 http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1066901), was it because of simple lack of concentration or because some external circumstances involving females played a major role? Like going directly from a lover’s bed to the game in the first case, and your wife’s unexpected appearance in the playing room in the second case (it is said that you were enjoying local affair)?
I would ask Fischer what it takes to be a the best player ever?
I’d ask Kasparov if he lost the World Championship on purpose because he wanted to bow out and chose to do it to Kramnik.
I would ask Moro…. Are you here to stay ?
Question to any World Champion over 21
Which is better; Chess or sex?
Steinitz said he could give God pawn and move. What opening did he think God would have used?
A gambit to make it a tactical battle or would God have played a closed opening and played a positionally?
I would ask Judit and Susan, what would it take to get you gals to play in a super strong all female tournament?
I wanna know if Topalov is a cheater! (Am I guaranteed an honest answer? ;))
(Showing my age, and cheating on the 1 question limit.)
Spassky: “How do you feel?”
Any Polgar: “What do you know about Fischer that no one else does?”
Fischer: “Really? Bxh2?”
Morphy: “Where’s the best gumbo in New Orleans?”
I would ask Aljechin if he and Capablanca had agreed on a return match before the 1927 match ended. Come to think of it, I would ask Capablanca the same thing.
For Paul Keres: Did you have to throw games to Botvinnik in 1948?
Question to Susan Polgar:
What question would you ask which chess player?
To Karl Schlecter…
Were you required to win your match with Lasker by two points?
If not, why did you press for a win in the last game with a draw in hand, losing the world championship and your chance at immortality?
To Fischer:
Would you even consider playing in today’s professional chess environment?
A lot of very good and interesting questions! Keep it up 🙂
What do you consider your greatest asset MEMORY OR IMAGINATION?
I would ask to Susan Polgar:
-Why did you choose me as your chessplayer to ask a question? And why did you ask to what chessplayer would I ask a question (and what question)? “Mind-bloggin'”
To Peter Svidler: What’s so great about cricket?
I would ask Bronstein for the truth about his match with Botvinnik. I would not bother asking Botvinnik this question.
To Bobby Fischer – Why was it so important to play the 3rd game in the small room instead of on stage?
Hi Susan Polgar,

Question: Whats best in rest ?
By
Venky [ India – Chennai ]
To Judit –
Who is the most chauvinistic male
grandmaster and/or who is the male grandmaster you most enjoy beating?
I’d ask Lenin why he thought that a self-proclaimed vanguard of the proletariat with no accountability would be more trustworthy with power than any other autocrat.
Hooooooooooow to winnnnnnnnnnnnnn????
Tell me hooooooowwwwww??
Anyone over 2500:
Would your life have been better / happier without chess?

I expect an answer!
Best regards
Stef

To Maestro Capablanca:

To Harry Nelson Pillsbury, what was your medical history? Did you contract syphilis at St. Petersburg in 1896, and die from it a few years later?
Question to Topalov: Do you really believe that Kramnik cheated in Elista?
What is the most boring thing in chess ?
