Well done Wesley So!!!
How much can Wesley continue to improve?
Can he serioulsy challenge Magnus?
Was Webster U an important step in Wesley’s development?
Have the wounds from his departure from Webster healed?
There was no issue with Webster. It was all manufactured by someone for their personal interest. Without the extensive training at Webster, he would still be playing weekend Swiss to make a living.
Congratulations, GM So. Wesley So, on each interview, should say: “Thank you very much for everything, Susan Polgar. Thanks a lot for everything, Webster University. I owe you all a great deal and will come back to you guys in the near future.” I think that’s appropriate.
many thanks to Susan Polgar. without her Wesley would not be as great as he is today.
Wesley So has gotten really good. Thanks to GM Susan Polgar & her chess program.
This chess admin is acting like a lawyer for Webster. Paul Strong I presume. Wesley is a gifted player and Webster cannot solely owe his improvement. Robson is a good player but still struggling. It is only Wesley who has improved by leaps and bounds owing to his inborn talent and not thru Webster’s training alone. Susan a good teacher but she is not an exceptional teacher. Sorry Susan but your chess admin is very combative and defensive instead of being a pacifist. You should replace him.
EVERYONE pitched in period..Susan/ Sir Paul totally pivoted titanic grandmaster So to America via Webster College student magic carpet ride. PERIOD. So ,tremendously alone/ isolated and secretly absolutely desperate for moorings ruthlessly made his fantastic , overnight ,badly misunderstood but ABSOLUTELY RIGHT FOR HIM … move of a lifetime to a gung- ho- go- Wesley So adopted Minnesota family and PERSONALLY PAID $50,000 TRANSFER FEE TO BECOME AMERICAN PLAYER AND US WORLD TEAM PLAYER ..everyone moved on following enormous friction and ….. without the sum of ALL moving Webster college parts this total miracle, a veritable chess golden age WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. Another tiny wonderful Susan Polgar chess promo accident that somehow just happened on the street corner. You know…Gee whiz, promotion just pops out of the sky. She had nothing to do with it. Yeah. Jude Acers/ New Orleans
Congratulations to the winners, especially B. Adhiban!
Coming as a challenger with lowest ELO rating to be places 3rd in this strong field is really commendable.
AND MR. KARAGIR…PLEASE NOTE ALSO THE SIMPLY STAGGERING “WILD WEST” GUTSY CHESS OPENING RESEARCH/INNOVATION /courage displayed throughout FROM THE FEISTY, THOROUGHLY UNCOOPERATIVE GRANDMASTER ADHIBAN…a personal favorite moment amidst Mr. Adihiban taking one startled world championship contender after another on a true Coney Island express ride to chess planets they had never even imagined…Mr, Adhiban told us all right out front in interviews ….. “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” Jude Acers/ New Orleans
