White cannot win this. Not possible.
White cannot win this. Not possible.
A) Matous is wrong. All the judges are wrong. Susan is wrong.
B) Anon 8:15 is wrong.
It could be B), but having seen the solution, I’ll put my money on A).
I would say White might be winning after 1.Nf3+, now if:
1) Kg2, obviously Bxc5+ wins the queen, but also
2) Kh3 is bad because of Ng5+ and Bxc5+ afterwards. So remaining is
3) Kh1, after which I guess that Bxc5 (attacking queen and threatening mate on h2) is winning. My idea would be to hide the king on f2, so that there are no more checks and then move the rook to the first rank in order to mate (e.g. via e2 -> e1)
Do I miss something?
Heh. There’s also the possibility that C) Anon 8:45 needed another cup of coffee, because that post clearly doesn’t mean what I intended.
1.Nf3+ Kh1 2.Bxc5? Qa4+ 3.Nd4 Qxd4+! draws.
2. Bd4 (instead of Bxc5) stops that check.

All are right:
1.Nf3+ Kh1 2.Bd4 Qf7+ 3.Ke3 cxd4+ 4.Kf2 Qf4 5.Rc6 d3
6.Rc8 wins
