Which again goes to show that van Wely does not belong into such strong tournaments. Once he is taken “out of book” – and he really has quite a preparation with the white pieces – he gets into trouble. Bold opening play by Chucky though. NICE!
No disrespect intended…..but Van Wely really does not belong in these tournaments…..its sort of sad to see ….I don’t like the idea of always having a tournament player..punching bag sort of thing.. It’s hard to watch.
Yes, Van Wely is a patzer and this proves it. What other world class player has lost a game in 20 moves? Zero !!!
Mr.Van wely my have a strong Fide rating because he only plays in the strong tourny’s. But at the level of stars that he is playing with he just is not one of them.
