Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
The USCF hasn’t reported about this kid yet. In the mean time, 8 Armenian newspapers already talked about him.
You are not informed.
Everyone who follows chess knows Sevian.
He just won Gold in World Youth.
A search of “Sevian” on USCF Online returns 50 results. Including the current Greg Shahade column on young American talent.

And by the way he’s American. Born and raised in America.
To call him Armenian is to say Fischer wasn’t American because his father was foreign born. (Hungarian or German take your pick)
Where’s the report about him earning his IM norm? If the Armenians can report about him from Armenia, why not the USCF? The news is now, not whenever the USCF feels like posting it. He’s Armenian. He has 100% Armenian blood.
Someone making an IM norm is not breaking news in America.
Maybe in Armenia, an AMERICAN, with an Armenian name being successful stops the presses.
The USCF has never advertised itself as a real-time news source.
That’s why we both read Susan’s site. It’s the best up-to-the-minute chess site.
An 11 year old making IM title is big news, no matter what country he’s from. I’m from Armenia and read Susan’s blog.
